Sometimes my heart gets tired. Sometimes I wake up and feel flat and void of creative energy. Sometimes I get so overwhelmed by work and monotony that I have to escape totally in order to breathe and refocus. Charlie and I went to a friend's cabin this weekend to get away and had an amazing time just talking, eating, sitting by a fire, watching movies, and playing outside. It was just what we needed!
I can't say truthfully that I am totally okay coming back and putting my nose to the grind again...frankly I just don't like putting my nose to things in general. I do however, feel like I got to take a deep breath and remember that there is so much more to my days then just getting through them.
That's a lot of perspective for a Monday :-)
So here is a Henry Thoreau quote I read this morning to send you on your way!

So here is a Henry Thoreau quote I read this morning to send you on your way!
"I do believe in simplicity. It is astonishing as well as sad, how many trivial affairs even the wisest thinks he must attend to in a day; how singular an affair he thinks he must omit. When the mathematician would solve a difficult problem, he first frees the equation of all incumbrances, and reduces it to its simplest terms. So simplify the problem of life, distinguish the necessary and the real. Probe the earth to see where your main roots run." -Henry Thoreaus to H.G.O.
