Hi friends! Since we talked last, I celebrated my birthday tradition, spent some time with family in California, started my new job -- it's been a whirlwind!
My hope jar: I made this when I was fifteen and wrote down a lot of hopes for my life. Every year on my birthday I dump it out at midnight and see which ones have happened, and write down some new ones to put in. It's a very re-centering time and helps me get some perspective heading into the next year of my life.
Speaking of birthdays, I got to throw myself a party at my house! Social events are one of my favorite forms of creativity. My cousin Hannah (Elizabeth's older sister) found a weird painting on the side of the road and gave it to me. I spray painted it gold and carefully painted on the text with some extra acrylic paint I had lying around. It was a cheap and beautiful way to decorate for the party and personalize our Kenny House a little more.
Then I went to California. And this happened.
Seeing my family was good too. That's my mom, her mom (my Mimi) and my grandpa Ted. And behind us is the Pacific Ocean. We went on a lot of adventures (Napa Valley, Muir Woods, San Francisco, Alcatraz Island) and it was pretty freakin rad. (Except for how I packed light, thinking it would be warm, and having to wear my little brother's clothes for the whole two weeks!)
